2017 Chardonnay receives 95 points

“A distinguished Macedon Ranges chardonnay, made with attention to detail and all the right choices. From vines 18-35yo, mainly P59 clone, whole-bunch pressed, wild-fermented and matured in French hogsheads (30% new) for 9 months. The oak and the touch of reduction come from barrel fermentation, but the intensity of the Macedon Ranges fruit easily deals with those transient issues. This is a very good wine now, but with more to come.”
