Matt Harrop - Winemaker 

Shadowfax is jointly managed by winemaker Matt Harrop, a New Zealander with great experience in vineyards and winemaking. Matt started working in wineries when he was 17, attending Roseworthy Agricultural College in South Australia.

In his travels, Matt has spent time in the picturesque vineyards of Italy and Moldova, and just before joining Shadowfax, he worked at the Brokenwood Winery in the Hunter Valley and at Nautilus in Marlborough, New Zealand.

 


 

 

Ricky Mandozzi - Chef 

Ricky joined Shadowfax with an impressive CV which includes experience at Taxi Dining Room, Lamaro's, Movida and Josephs. With a menu that shows modern influences from an Italian heritage, Ricky is putting our wood fired oven to plenty of use with a wide range of specials to complement our famous pizza.

A fully qualified chef, Ricky brings a lot of passion and enthusiasm to the winery and we look forward to a range of special events to showcase his skills.
